Felipe Romero Beltrán (b. 1992) is a Colombian photographer based in Madrid, Spain. He is interested in social issues, playing with the tension that new narratives can introduce in the field of documentary photography. He is currently doing a PhD in photography at the University of Madrid. He carries out long-term projects always supported by preliminary research. Romero Beltrán was awarded the Aperture Portfolio Prize 2022 for his dialect series. Felipe focuses on social issues, dealing with the tension that new narratives introduce in the field of documentary photography. Additionally preparing a Phd dissertation on documentary photography at Complutense University of Madrid. His practice, characterized by its interest on social matters, is the result of long-term projects accompanied by extensive research on the subject.

He was a Finalist for the Emerging Photographer Fund by Burn magazine at the Magnum Foundation, (2018, New York). He has won the Aperture Prize (2022, New York), Getxo Photo Award (2020, Getxo) and the Madrid Photobook Prize (2020, Madrid).
